Launch of the World Intellectual Property Report 2026

The Launch of the World Intellectual Property Report 2026 is scheduled for 17 February 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, and online. Organised by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the event will present the 2026 edition of the World Intellectual Property Report, titled Technology on the Move, which offers evidence-based analysis on trends in innovation and technology diffusion.

The programme for the launch includes opening remarks by WIPO leadership, a keynote address on the diffusion of generative AI in the global economy, a presentation of the World Intellectual Property Report 2026 by the WIPO Economics and Data Analytics team, and an industry panel discussion exploring perspectives on technology diffusion.

Moderated discussion and opportunities for audience engagement will follow the formal presentations, and participants will have the opportunity for informal dialogue with the report authors.
