The Internet Addresses Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) and ETECSA (Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba S.A.) have announced that LACNIC's upcoming event, LACNIC 25, will be held in the city of Havana. The meeting will take place on 2-6 May at Havana's Palacio de Convenciones and will bring together the Latin American and Caribbean Internet community.
The general program will consist of one day of technical workshops on new technologies, security, and the promotion of IPv6 adoption, along with four days of lectures and panel discussions on current issues and keynote presentations by leading international experts.
In the following four days LACNIC 2015 will host: The Public Policy Forum, The Latin American IPv6 Forum, The Network Security Forum, The Regional Interconnection Forum, and an Internet Governance Panel among many other events.
