LACIGF 2025

The Latin American and Caribbean Internet Governance Forum (LACIGF) 2025 will take place on 5–6 November 2025 in Córdoba, Argentina, with a welcome reception on 4 November. The event will gather policymakers, civil society, technical experts, academics and business leaders from across the region to explore digital policy, governance of the Internet and emerging technology topics within a multistakeholder framework.

Participants will engage in plenary sessions and ‘lightning talk’ segments covering themes such as IPv6 adoption, the role of investigative journalism in digital governance and the responsible adoption of AI. Parallel sessions will cover connectivity and inclusion, digital gender rights and diversity, governance of AI and data, and the sustainability and regulation of digital infrastructures like data‑centres.

On the second day, topics will include data sovereignty for Indigenous communities, policy advocacy tools, online surveillance practices, and moderating platforms and social networks.
