ITU Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18)

The 2018 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference (PP-18) will be held from 29 October to 16 November 2018 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Plenipotentiary Conference is the top policy-making body of the ITU that decides the four-year roadmap of the organisation.

PP-18 is open to, inter alia, ITU member states, regional telecommunications organisations, intergovernmental organisations operating satellite systems, specialised UN agencies, sector members and development organisations. In addition to setting general policies, adopting four-year strategic and financial plans, and making proposals to enhance the basic texts of the ITU, elections will be held for leadership positions across the ITU's general secretariat, sector bureaux, and council.
