[Update] Press release: OAS Co-organizes Workshop on ‘International Security and Diplomacy in Cyberspace’

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the ICT4Peace Foundation is holding a workshop titled International Security and Diplomacy in Cyberspace in Bogota, Colombia from November 18-20, 2014. The first two days of the event are designed to familiarize government officials involved in cyber security diplomacy and/or cyber security policy development with initiatives underway and under discussion in the international cyber community. Participants that attend this activity will be exposed to the context in which International Security in cyberspace is being addressed in global fora, such as the UN GGE, OSCE, OAS, EU, and AP-CERT, among others. The course will provide an opportunity for participants and lecturers to discuss and learn about the complex considerations of various international cyber security projects at the regional and global levels.

On November 20th, the Ministry of ICT of Colombia is organizing a general session opened to the public for the purpose of on sharing international best practices on ICT and cyber security development. Recognized cyber experts from around the world will be available to share their experiences with interested stakeholders from the Colombian cyber ecosystem, including from the private sector, civil society and the Colombian government.
