International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) Talks

On 28 September 2017, the International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization will organise the IPDC Talks, under the title ‘Powering sustainable development with public access to information’. The event will be held at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.

The aim of the IPDC Talks is to celebrate the International Day for Universal Access to Information, and highlight the importance of access to information in the successful implementation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs). The event’s programme will include a series of innovative and dynamic talks through which philosophers, journalists, intellectuals, entrepreneurs, academics, and community leaders working towards the achievement of different SDGs around the world will reflect on the key role of access to communication in their efforts.
