International Cybersecurity Forum

The 9th edition of the International Cybersecurity Forum will be held on 24-25 January 2017, in Lille, France. 

Under the overarching theme ‘Smarter Security for Future Technologies’, the forum will focus on several thematic streams: citizenship and new uses (privacy protection, the right to be forgotten), strategic issues (cooperation, partnerships and clashes at the diplomatic, industrial, technological, and military fronts), sectorial issues (cybersecurity industry and workforce), corporate security (risk analysis, awareness raising, security policies), fight against cybercrime (cybercrime techniques, methods of investigations, legal proceedings), and new technologies (smart cities, connected health, etc.). The programme will include various types of sessions, ranging from plenaries and workshops, to agora, challenges, and technical demonstrations. In addition, a trade show will also be held in the framework of the forum, as an innovation space dedicated to start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises active in the development of security technologies.

The aim of the forum is to promote a pan-European vision of cybersecurity and to strengthen the fight against cybercrime. Its objectives include: open up the debate on cybersecurity by bringing together cybersecurity and risk management experts as well as specialists from cross-functional disciplines; promote innovation in order to strengthen digital trust; build a reasoned approach to cybersecurity by putting human being at the heart of these issues; tackle cybersecurity using a strategic approach consisting in emphasising the geopolitical, sociological, legal, managerial, and technological challenges related to trust in cyberspace; and fosted a partnership approach by bridging the gap between the public and private sectors.
