IDLELO7, a conference described by its organisers as 'Africa's premier open source summit', will take place on 22-24 August 2016, in Kampala, Uganda.

The event is aimed to contribute to increasing the awareness, integration, and adoption of free and open source software (FOSS) in Africa, while emphasising how FOSS solutions are being or can be used to achieve open data and open government frameworks. In line with this aim, IDLELO7 will feature discussions on ICT policy and strategies, innovation, and trends with regard to free and open source software and tools.
