[Update] Read the event report by GIP Digital Watch curator Marilia Maciel, Internet jurisdiction: a necessary dialogue, who attended the conference.

The inaugural Global Internet and Jurisdiction Conference will take place on 14-16 November, in Paris, France. 

The conference is organised by Internet & Jurisdiction, and it will bring together representatives from states, Internet platforms, technical operators, civil society, academia, and international organisations, The aim of the event is to enable transnational cooperation and catalyse operation solutions. It will be prepared through a series of reports and international meetings throughout 2016. A high-level Advisory Group has been formed to help shape the agenda of the conference, identify relevant participants, and structure the preparatory process. 

The conference is structured around three workstreams aimed to allow participants to foster mutual understanding of common policy priorities and discuss concrete modalities for joint action: data & jurisdiction, content & jurisdiction, and domains & jurisdiction.
