Fifth Conference of the Regulating for Decent Work Network

The Fifth Conference of the Regulating for Decent Work Network will be held on 3–5 July 2017, in Geneva, Switzerland. The event is organised by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), in collaboration with the Centre for Employment and Labour Relations Law (University of Melbourne, Australia), the School of Social Sciences (Jawaharlal Nehru University, India), the Durham Law School (University of Durham, UK), the Fairness at Work Research Centre (University of Manchester, UK), the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Labour Studies (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands), the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Brasilia, Brazil), the Institut Arbeit und Qualifikation (University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany), and the Korea Labor Institute (Seoul, Korea). 

In 2015, the fourth Regulating for Decent Work (RDW) Conference identified and examined key dimensions of the future of work, especially in the context of the massive and continuous technological changes. The 2017 conference will continue to pursue this theme, with a focus on identifying potential policy and regulatory responses. The overall aim of the conference is to provide concrete guidance for the future activities of the ILO, offering participants the opportunity to influence global policy. 

The evnt will be structured around four tracks: work and society; decent jobs for all: new jobs for the future and their nature; the organisation of work and production: challenges for decent work; and the governance of work: labour regulation's complex future.
