Eastern European Domain Name System Forum

The Eastern European Domain Name System Forum (EE DNS) will be held on 1-2 December, in Kyiv, Ukraine.  The event is co-hosted by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Hostmaster (the registry for .ua).

The forum will feature discussions and sharing of experiences and good practices on existing and new technologies in the domain name industry, as well as business opportunities for market players. It will bring together domain registries, domain name registrar, technical experts, companies providing legal, technological or business advices in the field of domain names, representatives of non-governmental organisations, and government authorities.

Specific topics to be addressed during the meeting include: Internet of Things (IoT) and emerging threats; challenges and roles in tacling cybercrime; cybersecurity and the DNS; the DNS and the Internet ecosystem; challenges and legal alternatives in domain name dispute resolutions; and regional views from registries and registrars.
