Digitising Manufacturing in the G20 – Initiatives, Best Practices and Policy Approaches

In the context of the German presidency of G20, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy will host a conference on ‘Digitising Manufacturing in the G20 – Initiatives, Best Practices and Policy Approaches’, on 16–17 March, in Berlin. 

The two-day event, held in the run-up to the meeting of the G20 Digital Ministers, will provide an opportunity to discuss concepts, ideas, and approaches of the G20 states in the field of the digitalisation in the manufacturing sector, and to exchange views on the various situations and challenges in the individual G20 states. 

The programme will include plenaries, workshop sessions, and keynote speeches on issues such as shaping global digitalisation of production, smart manufacturing in times of digitalisation, factories of the future, regulatory challenges, data sovereignty in global value networks, industrial cybersecurity, smart cities, artificial intelligence, and the future of work and skills.
