Data Technology Seminar 2026

The Data Technology Seminar (DTS) 2026, organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), will bring together media professionals, technologists, and data specialists to discuss how AI and data technologies are being integrated into public service media operations.

Held in Geneva, the three-day seminar will explore how media organisations design, govern, and deploy AI and data-driven systems across different stages of the media value chain. The programme includes presentations, case studies, and live demonstrations showcasing practical applications ranging from production workflows to audience-facing services.

Sessions will address topics such as data and AI strategy, governance frameworks, metadata platforms, hybrid search technologies, and the deployment of in-house AI systems. Discussions will also cover the use of generative and real-time AI in editorial and creative processes, as well as approaches to audience personalisation and recommendation systems.

The event aims to provide participants with insights into how organisations are moving from AI experimentation to operational deployment, highlighting practical experiences and implementation choices across the sector.
