Council of Europe’s Lanzarote Committee – 15th Meeting

The 15th meeting of Council of Europe’s Lanzarote Committee will be held on 14-17 June 2016, in Strasbourg, France.

The four-day meeting will feature discussions and exchanges of information, experiences, and good practices on a number of issues related to child safety online and the rights of children in the digital space. A presentation will be delivered on web addresses advertising or promoting criminal offences againts children, and there will be discussions on the possible adoption of a declaration condemning this practice. In addition, the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe will offer a presentation on programmes to protect children against sexual violence online.

The Lanzarote Committee (also known as the Committee of the Parties) is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.
