Günther H. Oettinger, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society, will be at CeBIT Global Conferences in Hannover, Germany. See his blog post CeBIT & IT in Companies published today.
Taking place on three podiums in Hall 8, the CeBIT Global Conferences provide a comprehensive overview of the digital world and give top visibility to sweeping trends and innovations.
Oettinger deliver a keynote speech on the Digital Agenda (11:30 – live webstream in German; live webstream in English).
He will also participate in the IT-Gipfel working lunch, hosted by Mr Sigmar Gabriel, German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy (12:00); attend the board meeting of the Federation of German Industry (BDI) (13:00), followed by discussions with various exhibitors from the industry (IBM, Software AG, etc) and from start-ups.
He will visit the stand of the EU-funded project e-SENS – read a story on this project: Digitising government services across Europe.
He will give a press statement with Mr Thomas de Maizière, German Federal Minister of Interior (14:40-14:55 – press release will be availablehere).
He will meet with the founders of Gründerinnen-Manifest, Ms Brigitte Zypries, German Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, and Ms Gesche Joost, Design Researcher and Germany’s Digital Champion for the European Commission.
