Committee on Artificial Intelligence (CAI)

The plenary meeting of the Council of Europe’s Committee on AI (CAI) will take place from 1 to 3 February 2023 in Strasbourg, France.

The committee gathers representatives of the 46 member states, observer states, other Council of Europe bodies and sectors, other international and regional organisations, the private sector, civil society and experts in the field of digital governance and the legal implications of the functioning of different forms of AI.

The Council of Europe's Committee on AI (CAI) is meeting in plenary for the fourth time to negotiate a revised zero draft, which lays the groundwork for the world's first binding international framework convention on AI and human rights democracy and the rule of law.
