African Youth Internet Governance Forum 2019

9 Sep 2019 - 10 Sep 2019

N'Djamena, Chad

The African Youth Internet Governance Forum (IGF) will be held on 10 September 2019 in N’Djamena, Chad.

The African Youth IGF is a broad-based multistakeholder policy dialogue for African Youths, to stimulate discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet in the African region.

While the youth are the largest demographic group on the Internet, they are still under-represented at the IGF. The organisers of the event believe that young people have a high knowledge of the digital world they interact with daily and therefore deserve to play a stronger role in decision making, and policy processes regarding the Internet.
