Africa Peering and Interconnection Forum

The 7th African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AFPIF) will be held on 30 August - 1 September, at the Hyatt Regency, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The event will be hosted by the Tanzania Internet Service Providers Association.

The forum, which aims to foster cross-border interconnection opportunities, will bring together infrastructure providers, Internet service providers (ISPs), Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), infrastructure providers, data centre managers, national research and education networks, carriers and transit providers, international financial institutions, and policy-makers and regulators.

The programme of the three-day event will include discussions on issues such as: data centre operations, peering and transit strategies, measuring interconnection, policy and regulatory aspects related to interconnection, IXPs, etc. There will also be technical tutorials, as well as lightning talks.
