Africa Internet Summit ’14

25 May 2014 - 6 Jun 2014

Djibouti, Djibouti

The theme for the AIS '14 is 'Beyond connection: Internetworking for African Development'. The Summit is a platform where key Internet-related development issues faced by Africa are discussed.

As the future growth of Internet in Africa will be through mobile operators, AFRINIC will reaffirm its support to all African Network Operators. Djibouti Telecom is proudly hosting the event under the high patronage of the Ministry of Communications, in charge of Posts and Telecommunications.

The AIS is a regional multi-stakeholder ICT conference. It is the pinnacle educational and business ICT event in Africa where Internet actors interact with the Internet global community. The AIS was launched in The Gambia in 2012.

The Summit aims to bring under one roof the ICT business and technical community in Africa to discuss ICT issues and challenges. The Summit provides attendees and participants with a platform to share and spread Internet-related knowledge pertinent to the African region. This is also the chance for everyone attending to network with peers.

The AIS is an annual Summit consisting of seminars, workshops, tutorials, conference sessions, birds-of-a-feather (BOFs), and other forums for sharing ICT knowledge within the African region.
