The 9th edition of the Africa DNS Forum will take place between 26 and 28 July 2017, online.

The event is co-organised by the Africa Top Level Domains Organisation (AfTLD), the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and the Africa Top Level Domains Organisation (AfRegistrar).

The event will bring together registries of generic top-level domains (gTLDs) and country-code top-level domain (ccTLDs), domain names registrars, resellers, and registrants, DNS experts, governmental representatives, policymakers from the African region and beyond, and entrepreneurs interested in investing in the African domain namespace. The aim of the Africa DNS Forum is to help the African domain name industry to grow at a competitive rate. Key topics include:

  • Evolution of the domain name ecosystem in Africa.
  • Strengthening collaboration among stakeholders in the domain name ecosystem in Africa.
  • Dissemination of outputs of the Africa Domain Name System Forum among key stakeholders in Africa.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation in the Africa domain name ecosystem.
  • Developments in the Domain Name Ecosystem in Africa and globally.
