Afghanistan IGF 2021

1 Jun 2021 - 3 Jun 2021

Kabul, Afghanistan

The Internet Governance Forum Afghanistan (IGFA) will take place on 1 to 3 June in Kabul.

IGFA is an annual event aimed at addressing issues such as access, infrastructure, quality of services, local content and local apps, cybersecurity, online safety, policy and regulatory environment, and community engagement. It aims to bring together diverse stakeholders such as government ministries, intergovernmental agencies, the business community, civil society, and technical and academic communities under a single platform to discuss challenges and propose solutions.

IGFA 2021 will identify local problems and propose solutions; provide a capacity-building opportunity to young people around IG (The Afghanistan School on Internet Governance); discuss and identify new project ideas and have them scrutinized by experts. IGFA brings local and international experts together to share knowledge and experiences and to help create a platform for people who could debate issues around IG and SDGs. IGFA is organized by the Internet Society (ISOC) Afghanistan in partnership with key Internet stakeholders.
