8th African Peering and Interconnection Forum

The 8th African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) will be held on 22-24 August 2017, in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire.

The event will focus on issued related to Internet interconnection and traffic exchange operations, and will bring together infrastructure providers, Internet service providers, Internet Exchange Points, content producers and providers, data centre operators, and policy makers and regulators, among others. 

The conference will consist of keynote presentations, tutorials, lightning talks, and panel sessions in issues such as peering and transit strategies, interconnection policy and regulation, datacentres and content development, new technologies and innovations related to peering and interconnection, reserach on routing and network interconnection, experiences and lessons learnt from deploying Internet infrastructure, and other matters that relate to peering and interconnection. 

The AfPIG Programme Committee has launched a call for contributions for presentations and panels, open until 16 June 2017.
