The Central Asia Media Conference, organized by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, has over 20 years served as a platform for the exchange of information and experiences on media freedoms in Central Asia. The 22nd conference will bring together participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as Mongolia, representing the government, media, journalists’ associations, civil society, and academia. The aim of the platform is to promote media diversity and pluralism in compliance with the OSCE principles and commitments in the media freedom field. The main theme of the 22nd conference is countering harmful content online and offline, while upholding human rights, freedom of the media, and ensuring diversity in journalism.

The working languages will be English and Russian with simultaneous interpretation.
