Consumers International is a global federation made up of consumer groups from all over the world. Its aim is to defend, promote, develop and pursue consumer rights as the international basis of consumer protection.

The organisation's work also covers issues related to the protection of consumers in the digital environment. Some of the related initiatives focus on: empowering consumer organisations to demand equitable and accessible broadband service offerings, respecting consumers' rights; advocate for fairer laws and practices in the telecom sector and holding industry players to account, with respect to consumers' rights;  media capacity building initiatives to help raise consumer rights awareness;  exploring the power of social media tools to promote consumer activism; and advocating for consumers' privacy and data protection in the online space.
