14th WTO Ministerial Meeting – Yaoundé
This AI assistant was developed during the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and TradeExperettes training event (26th February), Road to Yaoundé, held in preparation for the WTO’s 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14). MC14 will take place from 26–29 March 2026 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
The initial version of the assistant, “Road to Yaoundé,” was created in just a few minutes via voice chat. It was then integrated into the DiploAI Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system within hours by connecting it to Diplo’s extensive trade resources, including course materials and key documents.
The key takeaway from this exercise? AI requires minutes to initiate, hours to take shape, but months to become a truly effective and useful tool. Ultimately, impactful AI solutions rely less on the technology itself and more on human knowledge and interaction.

‘Touching AI vectors’
In this exercise of ‘non-digital’ AI explanation, participants hold strings with floating points that represent vectors for a single token—in this case, the token for the word ‘diplomacy’. This activity is part of Diplo’s AI Apprenticeship pedagogy, which includes a series of ‘non-digital’ explanations of AI, such as through plants as metaphors for nature in Geneva’s Jardin Botanique.
