WIPO Conversation 11: AI and IP: Infrastructure for rights holders and innovation

WIPO’s 11th Conversation on IP and AI will take place on April 23-24, 2025, focusing on the role of copyright infrastructure in supporting both rights holders and AI-driven innovation.
As AI-generated content becomes more prevalent and copyright-protected works are used in AI training, the event will examine the evolving regulatory landscape and the systems needed to manage transparency, licensing, and enforcement.
The discussions will address key questions, including how existing copyright infrastructure can adapt to AI developments, what technical solutions can prevent unauthorized data scraping, and how to track and identify AI-generated content. Leading infrastructure and technology experts will explore the challenges and opportunities of building a robust system that protects creators while fostering innovation.
This event is open to policymakers, IP offices, creators, tech companies, and other stakeholders interested in shaping the future of AI and copyright.
