Belarus Internet Governance Forum 2017

Minsk, Belarus

The annual meeting of the Belarus Internet Governance Forum will take place on 16 May 2017, in Minsk. The forum is organised by Hoster.by, the technical administrator of ccTLDs .BY and .БЕЛ, non-profit human rights organisation Human Constanta, and the Operative-analytical Center of the Republic of Belarus, with the support of Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the RIPE Network Coordination Center (RIPE NCC).

Under the overarching theme ‘Internet in Belarus: an Open Dialogue about its Progression’, the Forum will feature discussions on issues such as the Internet of Things, security, privacy and data protectio, e-government, telecom infrastructure, and open data. Participants will include representatives from government, business, civil society, network service providers, the academic community, and media, for a full day of discussions on issues related to the status and the future of the Internet in Belarus and beyond.
