Regulation of Electronic Communications Market

The Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union and the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro will organise a conference on ‘Regulation of Electronic Communications Market’, on 26-27 September 2016, in Budva, Montenegro. The event will be held back to back with the ITU Regional Development Forum for Europe.

The conference is aimed to provide a space for high level dialogue between the stakeholders on strategies and policies directed towards broadband development in Europe, while discussing the challenges and opportunities offered via high speed networks and e-services provided over the modern infrastructure. Specific topics featuring on the event’s agenda include: emerging regulatory trends at the international and regional level; quality of services and experiences, network neutrality and user protection; strategies and policies for broadband development; broadband infrastructure and services; and future regulatory initiatives. 

The event will bring together representatives of European telecom regulatory agencies, ministries, operators of electronic communications, academia, European regional initiatives implementation partners, as well as representatives and experts of international organisations and institutions in charge of the regulation and development policy of electronic communications.
