Moldova is advancing its digital transformation by introducing two institutions focused on cybersecurity: the National Cybersecurity Agency (ANC) and the National Institute of Innovations in Cybersecurity, also known as ‘Cybercor’.

It was announced that the ANC would focus on actively safeguarding critical infrastructure, government systems, and citizens from cyber threats. Conversely, Cybercor will concentrate on nurturing future cybersecurity experts through innovative educational initiatives, equipping students and public servants with indispensable skills.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba, emphasised the critical necessity of these institutions in ensuring a resilient economy amidst the ongoing digitalisation process.
