UN releases special edition of Sustainable Development Goals Report 2023

The UN released the special edition of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2023 Report presenting a comprehensive midpoint review of the 2030 Agenda based on the most recent data. The report urges the international community to bridge existing gaps while emphasizing the utilization of available technologies, knowledge, and resources. Additionally, the report acknowledges the impacts of the climate crisis, the war in Ukraine, the weak global economy, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on hindering progress toward the SDGs. It is stressed that these issues have mostly affected vulnerable groups, emphasizing the need for immediate action to keep the 2030 objectives on track.
