Kenya reveals digital tracing system

Kenya’s Ministry of Health is scaling up its COVID-19 contact-tracing system to integrate online and offline capabilities. This was revealed during a parliamentary inquiry where the Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe explained that the initial digital surveillance system was overwhelmed with an increasing number of cases which were spread to various parts of the country. The country had therefore upgraded its system to include laboratory orders, facilitate contract tracing, manage patients in quarantine, and generate reports.
