He called on UN inter-regional commissions, in cooperation with the private sector and technical community, to help countries translate AI strategies into AI implementation plans by assessing whether they have scalable, secure, resilient internet; meaningful affordable connectivity; trusted data; and technical expertise .
Suha Osman, representing the League of Arab States remotely, highlighted the League's longstanding partnership with ESCWA across the WSIS process, internet governance, GDC, and AI governance as "one of the strongest examples of successful regional digital cooperation" .
