The ICANN84 Annual General Meeting is scheduled to take place from 25 to 30 October 2025 at the Convention Centre Dublin in Ireland. This six-day hybrid event will bring together participants from across the globe, including representatives from governments, civil society, business, and the technical community. Attendees will engage in a series of sessions and discussions focused on the future of the internet and the role of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in its governance.

A key highlight of the meeting will be the anticipated approval by the ICANN Board of the final Applicant Guidebook for the next round of the New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program. This decision is expected to pave the way for the opening of the application window in April 2026, allowing organisations to apply for new domain extensions beyond the traditional .com or .org.

The timing of ICANN84 coincides with the UN review of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+20), providing an opportunity to align discussions on internet governance and digital cooperation. The meeting will also feature the induction of new ICANN Board members and the presentation of the Dr Tarek Kamel Award for Capacity Building.

For those unable to attend in person, remote participation options will be available, ensuring broad access to the proceedings. Registration for in-person attendance is open until 23 October 2025, with no on-site registration available.

ICANN84 represents a pivotal moment for the global internet community to come together, reflect on past achievements, and chart a course for the future of a secure, stable, and unified global internet.
