Council of Europe’s Lanzarote Committee – 16th Meeting

The 16th meeting of Council of Europe’s Lanzarote Committee will be held on 23-25 November 2016, in Lyon, France. 

The three-day meeting will include, among others, discussions and exchanges of information, experiences, and good practices on a number of issues related to child safety online and the rights of children in the digital space, such as: the dangerous effects of the child’s interaction through information and communication technology; fighting online child sexual abuse and exploitation; and ensuring immediate assistance in the context of cybercrimes.

The Lanzarote Committee (also known as the Committee of the Parties) is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse.
