Barbados Internet Governance Forum 2017

22 Jun 2017 - 23 Jun 2017

Cave Hill, Barbados

The first annual meeting of the Barbados Internet Governance Forum will be held on 22-23 June 2017, at the University of West Indies at Cave Hill.

The initiative is aimed at providing the Internet community in Barbados with a platform to discuss issues related to the use and evolution of the Internet in the country, as well as educating citizens about how they can contribute to Internet governance processes.

The two-day event will feature discussions on issues such as the Internet governance ecosystem, capacity development, Internet law, cybersecurity, cybercrime, and Internet activism.

The meeting will result in a report detaling the critical Internet governance issues affecting businesses, the government, civil society organisations and end-users across the island.
