Standard ECMA-360 Corporate telecommunication networks – signalling interworking between QSIG and SIP – call diversion

Standards

Summary

ECMA-360, published in December 2004, outlines the specifications for signaling interworking between QSIG and the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) to support call diversion within corporate telecommunication networks (CN), also known as enterprise networks. QSIG is a signaling protocol used in Private Integrated Services Networks (PISNs) for call control and supplementary services, while SIP is an application layer protocol for managing multimedia sessions, including telephone calls over IP networks. This document addresses how call diversion is managed during the establishment of calls between a PISN using QSIG and a corporate IP network using SIP. It details the impact of QSIG call diversion on SIP and vice versa. The specification applies to any interworking unit that serves as a gateway between these networks. However, it does not cover interworking between a PISN using QSIG and a public IP network using SIP.
