Zain’s new sustainability report highlights ‘meaningful connectivity’

Mobile telecommunication company Zain released its ninth annual sustainability report under the title ‘The Road to the Future’ which focuses on the concept of providing ‘meaningful connectivity’ that can trigger systemic change. It further identifies six pillars of Zain’s sustainability strategy: (a) creating shared values, (b) promoting social innovation, (c) tackling climate change, (d) inclusivity and leaving no one behind, (e) addressing the sustainable development goals (SDGs), and (f) youth empowerment. The report covers the company’s social, economic, and environmental impacts and the local initiatives that support the SDGs in its seven operating countries. The ‘Road to the Future’ report is aligned with the UN Guiding Principles adhering to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) reporting guidelines.
