YouTube investigated for violating privacy of children

The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC)is investigating YouTube for violating the privacy of children after receiving several complaints from consumer groups and privacy organisations. The complainants claim that YouTube has failed to protect the children who use their services and collected their data which is in violation to the  Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), that forbids tracking children below 13 years.
