Vietnam’s internet affected by broken undersea cable route

According to a news report, Internet service in Vietnam has been disrupted due to a broken undersea cable. This according to the report has in the past couple of days affected access to internet applications such as Facebook, Gmail, and YouTube. According to spokespersons of major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Vietnam, two of five undersea cables that connect  Vietnam to the rest of the world have been affected, which is the root cause of the interruption. The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group(VNPT), according to the report, has managed to navigate the situation in the interim by moving some traffic to other active cables which has brought about some stability.
