US HHS launches cybersecurity website for healthcare sector

The US Department of Health and Human Services announced the launch of the Health Sector Cybersecurity Coordination Center (HC3) website. The HC3 website aims to support the defense of information technology (IT) infrastructure of the healthcare and public health sector by facilitating coordination and information sharing within the sector and by strengthening cybersecurity resilience.

As the adoption and utilisation of technology has accelerated in the health sector, it has become a prime target for cyber criminals and state-supported hackers. Through the HC3 website, health stakeholders can coordinate the activities across the sector and report threats, profiles, and preventive strategies to the DHS.
