US Army CIO instructs all Army personnel to turn off IoT devices in their workspaces

US Army Chief Information Officer publishes a new policy titled Cybersecurity Requirements for Teleworkers in the Vicinity of Smart Internet of Things (loT) Applications and Devices. According to the policy, all Army personnel approved to telework should in their work area: (1) remove all IoT devices with listening functions, (2) turn off all personal mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets, and (3) disable audio access functions on personal assistant applications and devices. This new policy aims to prevent data leaks and protect data privacy.
