UNWTO and Telefonica to deploy AI and data for sustainable tourism recovery

The UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and Telefonica have partnered to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) tools and data in order to facilitate a sustainable recovery of the tourism industry in the post-COVID-19 period. Data and AI are expected to help tourist organisations better understand tourist behaviour and adjust products and services to their needs. Moreover, better data management is needed to oversee tourist in-flows in response to new health protocols.
