UNESCO’s Digital Library project launched in South Sudan
The UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has launched its digital library project in South Sudan. The project aims to construct the culture of reading and self-learning using available research materials in digital libraries. The beneficiaries of the initiative are University of Juba and the Whitaker Peace and Development Initiative (WPDI) Community Learning Centre are expected to make up for the high cost of books and publications by providing access to online educational materials.
