The UK sets up a specialist unit to counter disinformation about coronavirus.
The United Kingdom has set up a special unit to detect and counter false information about coronavirus being deliberately spread online. The unit, housed in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, will work along social media experts. Oliver Dowden, secretary of culture, claimed “Defending the country from misinformation and digital interference is a top priority.”
