The UK government invests money in creating digital solutions to deal with flooding

The UK Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs allocates £150 million to 25 new flooding and coastal resilience projects across England. Some of these projects include applying digital technology such as: using apps to warn residents from groundwater threat during floods, building flood warning systems based on AI and sensors to detect rising water levels, developing technology to forecast and map flood events, employing CCTV monitoring in high risks areas, and creating an accessible web platform for residents to get information about flooding.
