Uganda rejects Huawei spying allegations
According to the BBC, Uganda has denied allegations that its police had hacked, with the help of technicians from Huawei, into a Ugandan politician’s Whatsapp group. The Washington Post had reported earlier that Ugandan officials had intended to infiltrate this group to prevent street rallies and arrest the politician Bobi Wine. This new political figure intended to run against the current president in the upcoming presidential elections in 2021.
