Uber Eats delivery fees suspended for black-owned restaurants

In response to US protests over the death of George Floyd, while in police custody, Uber decided to support black communities and businesses by suspending its delivery fees until the end of 2020. Uber Eats users, in major US and Canadian cities, can order from restaurants owned by black individuals only paying for the food. Uber Eats is going to highlight these restaurants. The restaurants highlighted in the app were selected by Uber employees based on publicly available sources, information from local organizations and associations.
