Twitter removed posts by Brazil and Venezuela presidents

Twitter removed posts by Brazil and Venezuela presidents and former New York City Mayor for breaching their new rules for COVID-19 related content. The tweets contained misleading information endorsing medical treatments for coronavirus that were not backed by any scientific evidence. A Twitter spokesperson explained that the platform is committed to protecting the public conversation and will continue to delete tweets that do not comply with the rules. “This is an evolving global conversation and we’re committed to remaining vigilant.”, he added.
