Taiwan initiates WTO dispute complaint against Indian tech tariffs
According to a WTO filing, Taiwan has requested dispute consultations with India regarding unfairly increased tariffs on information technology goods such as cellphones, optical fibre cables, integrated circuitry and others. Taiwan is following the suit brought by other countries such as the US, Canada, Japan, Thailand, as well as the EU in disputing the tariffs imposed by India on ICT goods.
