15 Apr 2019

The Indian Department of Science and Technology (DST) launched a joined research and development technology programme with Swedish government agency for innovation systems, Vinnova. The programme will explore the topics of digitalisation and Internet of things (IoT) while focusing specifically on the challenges of smart cities and clean technologies.

Explore the issues

The Internet of Things (IoT) includes a wide range of Internet-connected devices, from highly digitalised cars, home appliances (e.g. fridges), and smart watches, to digitalised clothes that can monitor health. IoT devices are often connected in wide-systems, typically described as 'smart houses' or 'smart cities'.
